I have been terrible about updating the blog! My apologies -- I honestly think everyone has given up on checking it since I'm always so behind! :) Here's a few things we've been up to...

Things we've been up to...
She was so glad Jack and Cooper's parents drove them in from the Dallas area for her party!
Emma and Braylin were dying to try out "the big tub with jets"
And if you haven't already heard, Braylin is going to be having a little SISTER! Jay got his wish... another little girl. I guess God doesn't think we would know what to do with boys. :)

Laura Inscoe Photography-As-A-Hobby
Laura, if you decide to quit being a NICU nurse and become a full-time photographer AND move back to the South, I would most definitely use you for my pictures! :)
I need to give credit for the header photo to Laura -- she took some precious pictures of Braylin and her neice Elyse when we got together a few months back. Laura you are so good with that camera! Thanks for letting me swipe a photo or two. :) Hope to see you soon! Miss you bunches

It's August!!!
I know, I know... it's been a month since I blogged. To be honest, I have been such a slacker at taking pictures lately which is usually the only thing I post. So, here's a little update on what's been going on in the Langham household.
Braylin is growing like a weed! At her 18 month appointment a few weeks back, she weighed in at 28lbs (90th percentile) and 33inches (again, 90th percentile). She was SO good at the doctor's office -- it was a little scary how well it went. Dr Haynes walked in to an immediate "Hi Docker Haynes", then watched as Braylin showed Dr. Haynes how to listen to her tummy and find "two piiiiiink budderfies" in her ears. She was a trooper getting her vaccination and then talked all the way out of the office. I couldn't believe how well it went, and I am surely not expecting that again (but hoping!).
The child apparently picks up on every word heard throughout the day. Dr Haynes says she is talking like a 2 year old and couldn't get over her words and phrases. We find it quite hysterical because she surprises us every day with something new. Here's a few of what she's been doing.
1) pull up at our house: "No mama, no home. Go see cows." So, Jay drives her down the road to see the cows.
2) Poppi was putting her in her car seat today in the rain so I offered to come around and do it for her: "No mama, stay dare. Poppi's got it"
3) everything is "I get it, I get it" -- She's wanting to do everything on her own.
4) picky eater sometimes: "No mo mators mommy. Hod dog, berries, peeease, aiin (and) mo miiiiilk"
5) after MDO: "I paid (played with) Miss Connie"
6) sings the alphabet, counts to 10, loves to sing Jesus Loves Me
7) loves to color and draw circles
8) could play outside ALL day, even in the 100 degree heat
9) never seen batteries in her life but proceeded to turn the baby monitor over and say "No badderies"
10) loves books...can't seem to get enough of them
Ok, I could go on and on, but there's only so much you want to hear about someone else's kid. So I'm stopping there. :)
The house remodeling is coming along... I'll put pics on here once we have it finished. We are so excited! The master bathroom & bedroom are almost finished...hoping to move our stuff out of the extra bedroom into the master room in the next week or so. Can hardly wait!! Then on to the kids bathroom and and hardwood floors. Oh what a project this has been. But a fun experience (ok, maybe a little more stressful than fun but I know it'll be worth it in the end). :)
We recently decided to speed up the remodeling process since we are going to have a new addition to the family in March!!! Since word is getting out pretty fast, I thought I'd better post it on the blog. I work on the labor unit and there is no hiding pregnancy among labor unit girls when they all know you're wanting another baby soon. So my family knew super early and we are now slowly spreading the word to friends. We are so excited!!! And Braylin loves wearing her new tshirt (horrible phone pic but the only one we happened to get the day we told our family). It's so hard getting pics of Braylin now because she is CONSTANTLY moving!!!
More updates soon

July 4th
We had a great time in Perdido Key for a long July 4th weekend. We met my parents, Jen & Ray & Taylor, and the Austin family down there on a Friday and stayed til Wednesday, and what a great time it was!
The beach was pretty, the clean up crews were busy, the water was clear (well, no oil balls floating around), and the weather was sunny! Jen was the designated photographer and has yet to get me any pictures, so here are just a few from the trip.

Destin
A few weeks ago we spent a week at the beach with our good friends Lisa and LJ. Emma (who is 3 years old) and Braylin get along great and had a fun time together. The weather was beautiful, no oil in sight, the girls made the week a blast, and the adults had a great time! We can hardly wait for another vacation with them. I'm not a good writer, so I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Summer time update
Oh the things Braylin surprises us with now! I've been meaning to write them down since it's taking me forever to post updates on here, so I'm probably going to have to come back and add them as I remember them!
She is repeating EVERYTHING... from cute little words like "thank you", "love you", "please", etc... to phrases like "go fool" after hearing her mama say it to the idiot in the car in front who would not pull out into the traffic. We are certainly having to watch what all we say around here!
It has been such fun buying girl clothes for this summer! Last summer she spent most of her time in onesies or little cotton cuties. Now, she loves wearing play clothes and dresses. And swimsuits!!! And flipflops!!! And sandals!!! Every morning after getting dress she pats her head and says "bow" until I put one in... only to remove it as soon as she realizes it's on her head.
Oh how we love naming everyone! Mention one name and the listing has begun... "mimi" "pop-pop" "izz-izz" (my parents dog)... over and over and over. The other day I told her we were pulling up to JC Penneys and the listing began again (because Jay's parents dog is named Penny)... "ott" "poppi" "pop" "matt" "penny" "ott" "ott" "ott" (we love our uncle scott, can you tell?). Mentioning Aunt Jen starts "ray" "ray" "ray"... "jen" and "tay-tay" come after MANY repeats of "ray". :)
Braylin LOVED cake aftering tasting Mama's 29th birthday cake. Yes, I'm getting closer to 30. Lets move on to another topic...
Still slowly-but-surely remodeling the house. Almost finished with the kitchen and then onto the master bath and bedroom. Jay is working so hard on all of it! I must admit... going five years without a dish washer and an indoor utility room has made me thoroughly enjoy dirtying dishes and doing laundry! I LOVE my dishwasher!!! And not having to go outside to my washer/dryer is heaven. Who would've thought.
Ok, here's a few pictures. Gotta go finish dinner and get ready for a work day tomorrow. This must be the time of year to have babies because the labor unit has been booming! More updates to come soon! Surely I can update sometime before we go to the beach!
Celebrating Mama's birthday

Playing in the backyard... She could LIVE out there. It's always a battle getting her to go back inside.
Saying cheese ("teese") for the camera
Braylin apparently inherited her Aunt Jen's fashion sense. After pointing to these shoes in the store and practically yelling/repeating "soos", I let her play with these while I shopped for some sandals I thought she could wear easier. Upon taking the shoes away from her, we had a little meltdown and mama gave in... the shoes came home and what do you know?!? She can wear them without any trouble even with the thong between her toes!
She still loves bathtime (even if her tub is brown and Mama can hardly wait to replace it with a new fresh white one) and eating the bubble bath.
